Camping pics!!

Hi everybody,

Rich and I went camping last weekend to Prescott. Sorry to be a little slow on posting pictures. The weekend was awesome! We got to Prescott Friday afternoon and left very early on Sunday. Prescott was a little on the warm side but besides that (and the pain in the ass tent), it was very relaxing! Friday we spent most of the afternoon putting up the tent and then taking a walk around Lynx Lake where we were camping near. Lynx Lake was beautiful!! We also took a drive into the town of Prescott as Rich hadn't been there before. Prescott is fairly small and I love it! The house there remind me of the houses in Michigan.

On Saturday, Rich went fishing. I tried to convince him that sticking a hook into the cheek of a fish and then yanking it out is cruel but he wasn't quite convinced. Thankfully he didn't catch any!! That afternoon we took another drive into the town of Prescott (to get in the A/C of the car) and sat in the town square to read with the doggies. There was a lot of cool grass and huge shady trees. Both evenings were spent cooking and enjoying a wood fire. We also played a couple games too - including one of our favorites, scrabble.

Here are some pictures!! Enjoy!

Taz loves car rides and I caught him behind my seat grinning from ear to ear!

Shila was watching the road as close as Rich was.

A 6 person tent for two people and two dogs. Yes, madness. And let me tell you this tent was a royal PITA (pain in the ass) to put up!

I caught Shila underneath the picnic table and shade.

Lynx Lake!

Our first evening, after our heat induced nap. We look a little groggy.

The tent by the fire.

Shila and I at the town square on the cool, cool grass.

Rich playing scrabble. He beat me (this time!).

Playing around with the high shutter speed function on my camera. Unfortunately this isn't the best pic of Rich.

Taz passed out in the car on the way back home.

I believe that there's a fair amount of hiking you can do in the LA area. Maybe you guys can even go camping. It's a treat!!
