Urgh, don't ask!! We tried two different types of wine openers and we just couldn't get the sucker out and then my sweetest somehow pushed the cork in. I needed it to add in to our pasta sauce so I didn't care how the bottle of wine got opened at that point! Love your story of using the tooth brush. :)

Reminds me of the time we were in Paris and didn't have a cork screw. We somehow managed to push the corks in to the wine bottle with a tooth brush!

After my silent retreat from yesterday I feel just like that cork in the bottle... pushed, prodded, and pleasantly pickled.
