Confession time...

Ok. Soooooo…..I have a confession to make. And it’s one that I’m not super chipper to reveal because I will end up looking like a huge idiot! But alas, I began the story a couple days ago and must finish it up.

Remember Houdini the vanishing cat? He was our second cat that we had managed to home outside our front door. Rich and I haven’t yet really seen this little guy. I mean, there was one day when we were driving home on our street and saw a black cat run really fast away from the front of our house. We assumed that that was Houdini.

Friday morning, Rich came back in to the house talking about two big black birds that had flew away in a hurry when he opened the front door.

Oh geeez. Should I just stop this post right now because most of you, if not all of you, have figured out the ending?

I feel like such a huge idiot!

Are you ready?

So that night I decided to figure out who exactly was Houdini and who was eating the cat food. The Inspector Gadget in me emerged and I figured that some flour on the ground would track the footprints. Nice cute cat prints or annoying little pesky bird prints? This is not generally what the front of the house looks like but alas I just had to find out!

About an hour later, I heard a commotion outside the front door...a cacophony of birds. At first I couldn't believe my eyes.

Houdini, is that you??

After I caught them on my camera, I decided to video-tape them too. No wonder the water was getting all dirty...just look at them at work!

Soooooooooooo....there is no Houdini the vanishing cat. Instead two little pesky birds that have preyed on my feline-loving heart! Oh well...at least they got a nice fill for the past week!
