Me in 3-D

Ok, this is a total experiment. I don't know what inspired me to try this out but I did. I videotaped my post for today. It's all wedding-related...blah, blah, blah. :)

I have to say that watching myself on video is an icky feeling. Blurgh. BUT...i think it was a good experience to see how maybe others see me. I obviously talk too fast (but my Mum told me this yearrrrrs ago). I also come across off more ditsy than I wish. Bahh! And...what is up with my accent??? In my mind it is still pretty British but I listen to myself and I realize how American I sound. What??? It was a bit of a shock. Maybe more than just a bit. :)

My one fear is that this video might be off-putting to you because I realized that some of you have never heard my voice and your vision of what I sound like might not match reality! I remember when I first heard Braja's voice on her radio posts and it was so different. Gorgeous, beautiful and enchanting but different than what I was expecting. Don't ask me what I was expecting b/c I simply don't know!

Anyway so here goes...

Very cute lol. Your dogs follow directions as good as mine! And yes, very American with a little British thrown in exspecially when you say "party".

OMG - I LOVE it! I love being able to see you 'in person' and hear your voice...you MUST do more video in the future. It's always weird to see yourself on video but you look (and sound - yes, I still hear your accent) just the same to me! Oh, it was a just what I needed:) Seriously, love it. Do it again. And the dogs were cracking me up!

missy, you sound SOOOOOO American and grown up! You sound like Reece Witherspoon :-) It is strange to hear your voice after so many years. I would not recognise you if it was not for the video. Miss you, good luck with wedding planning xxxx
PS I don't know how ypour dress was tight in the waist because you look fabulous.

I almost never comment on blogs, but holy crap your accent has changed. Since college even! I mean, not that I'm one to talk. I can't even DO an English accent anymore if I try. It's a little bit sad to lose that part of my identity - that, and it made for a great party trick amongst friends :)

just watched the video - don't listen to the measurement lady - you look fabulous.

The funniest thing was as I was watching the video - your dog was walking and the tags were jingling and it drove my two dogs crazy. they were running all over the place looking for the jingling sound :)

You are SO CUTE. Do it again! That was so much fun, i wish i were as brave (and cute and funny)as you and maybe i would try it.You are exactly what i imagined too, isn't that amazing?
I think it was brilliant and i wouldn't change one thing. You are a doll.

Kuv! Congrats, you look like the perfect blushing bride. And I can't imagine how excited you must be for your wedding and PARENTS arrival!

Anyway, you should hear our Canadian accents, even Rachna, we're totally Canadian.

Good luck with all the preps, looks like you're well on your way.
