A sneak peek

Well I thought I would give you a sneak peek of some of my favorite pictures from our trip. There are a lot of favorites but here are a couple. I uploaded the full album on picasa but I would like to add comments so you know what you're looking at. Hopefully that will happen by Thursday and then I'll post the full album for those that want to relax over a cuppa and take in the beauty of Seattle and Bellingham through my camera's lens (and mine!).

Giant fresh lobster and gargantuan sized shrimp! Giant everything - only at Pike Place Market. Oooh, they should use that slogan!

'Flowers' by God

Pier fifty-something in Seattle. This would be a good picture to teach a child the true color of blue.

Nope, this pic ain't upside down. These are old Fords hung from the ceiling of the Seattle Museum of Art complete with funky lights. This would be a good picture to teach a child how fun art can be!

A little cliche, I know, but here we are absolutely drenched in the Seattle rain. Not just drenched in rain...I mean dripping, sopping, floating, sinking in rain... awww, but look how happy we look! I guess you'll have to figure out if we really were happy or whether it was for the camera. Winner gets a large bucket of rain water.

My first water lilly. I love how the white of the flower contrasts with the green of the lillies. It's almost as if the flowers are saying - "watch out bud, I'm coming through!"

Anderson Creek Trail by the Lodge that we stayed in in Bellingham. Really, does it get better than this?

Caption 1: Car window in the down position.
Caption 2: "oh you crazy fish face"

View of the bay from Bellingham to the Ana Cortes Islands area. We took a drive down Chuckanut Dr. Yes...Chuck-a-nut drive. Can you take a guess as to how this name came about?
Who's chucking nuts?

On the way to the airport we finally spotted Mount Rainier. I hope this picture conveys how this mountain just seems to rise up from the ground to the heavens. I swear it looked like this was painted in to the sky. It did not look real - nope, not one bit. It was like a fake Gucci of nature.

Don't mess with us.
Hahaha!

Maria - for some reason I absolutely adore that last pic. I think I'm so used to the cheesy grin that this was pic was a nice refresher.

Mum - thank you for the compliment on the pictures. Yes, the surroundings and all the fresh fruit and fish were a feast for our eyes! Those lobsters looked unbelievable. Did you see that I've put on some weight?

Mo - yes we had a wonderful time! I very much miss the Washington area. (pout)
