Garden Pictures!

Is it that time already? Why yes it is! It's time for garden pictures - yey! I did some gardening on Sunday and in the midst decided to break out the Canon and have some fun.

My yellow bells about to blossom. They look so different before the flower actually blossoms. I love how the younger buds are a mix of green and yellow.
Sigh. Nature is amazing.

Close-up of a Ruellia flower. Can you see the various colours of blue and pink in this flower?

I just purchased this boxwood. I plan to keep it in a pot and will re-pot it soon - hopefully it will fare well. For some reason I'm really drawn to this plant. I think it's because of the small rosettes.

Ok so I don't know what this is but I just picked it up too. I think it's a New Guinea Inpatients but I don't think that's what the label says. Any guesses?

Nothing too impressive here but just like the boxwood, I am drawn to my sage bush and love seeing the petite little purple flowers randomly bloom.

I purchased this Europys plant last week. I killed my Europys last fall so let's all take a deep breath and cross our fingers. I love how thick this yellow is. I don't know how else to describe the color but "thick".

And finally my Dusty Miller from a bottom's up view. I had fun taking this picture!

Pretty! I love boxwoods, too. I need to spend some time in the yard loving the plants. Sages' are lovely, too. You should see the 5 yr old one we have in our front yard.

Wow I can't believe you have flowers blooming! We will have to wait another 6 months to see that as everything is covered in a couple of feet of white stuff.... and don't tell me you are jealous!

Very nice Bo, especially that last one!

My camera arrived just now and I am actually a bit scared looking at it. I don't know where to start though I suppose the instruction booklet would be a good place! :)

Leaner - I would LOVE to see your sage! I bet it's voluptuous by now. I really want to start talking to my plants but I bet that I'll feel like a giant nerd!

Maria - I am jealous of your snow. Bite me. :)

Aarti - you should get one too! They're gorgeous! Pretty hardy too. Just don't water it too much.

Mo - Congrats on getting the camera. I'm sure it looks intimidating at first. But I bet it'll get easier as you start to pore through the manual. Have fun!
