So this will be a quick note....today, on two separate occassions in two different parts of town, I saw two Monks. One was at about 8:50am and he was dressed in a red robe. Then later in the afternoon at about 1:30pm I saw another Monk walking out of a Thai restaurant dressed in a yellow robe.
Anybody else think that this is rather unique? I kinda feel like it is. I feel like it should be symbolic but I know it isn't. It's just rather different. We're in Phoenix. We don't generally ever see Monks here. Two in one day? Now that's just bizarre!

I don't know, I have been thinking all day how His Holiness The Dalai Lama was barred from the Peace Forum in South Africa. Could this be an auspicious sign?

I don't think I've ever seen a monk in my life, didn't don't they're popular in AZ! Have you ever read the book "The Mermaid Chair?" this reminds me of that.
Lori ann - I read that news story and was saddened. How can anybody be threatened by the Dalai Lama? The only thing he has on his mind is peace. I don't get it.
