Very cool outing

Today I wandered over to Desert Marigold school in Phoenix to join Leaner and Mo and their beautiful little girls at a Holiday Fare! Gosh, I probably was a little girl when I last went to one and so it brought me running back to my memories of school fares at our school - J.E.S.S. (Jumeirah English Speaking School). Ahhh...such memories! Today's event was filled with gorgeous hand-made arts and crafts as well as some fun boothes full of baked goods, candle making, etc. There was also a gentleman heating iron and hammering away at it to make candle holders and more. Even a rock climbing thing! Pretty cool school fare if you ask me! Of course I was completely enamored by everything around me that the pics I took were fairly scattered and I didn't even get a picture of Leaner, Mo and myself! In fact no pics of any of us - grrrr!

Mo's kids - aren't these two so adorable?? Every time I see K. and E. I just want to gobble them up!

I couldn't leave without getting a snap of the one-horned goat...the unicorn goat...unigoat?....unicoat?...unigorn?...I give up!

And then I proceeded to take pictures of these wild flowers that I always see around town and have been hankering to photograph. Does anybody know what these are?

It was great to see you, too! I know I wanted to try and get a pic of us together, but well, it was rather hectic for me. I guess we will have to meet up again.

I think those are just a kind of sunflower. There are many varieties of sunflowers.

Rhayn wanted to know why people kept coming up and saying hello to me. Since usually we know the people at the school it was odd to her.

If I am not mistaken Kuv they are called calendulas. We used to have them in our home garden at Borivili. But they were a beautiful orangy-red in colour. The ones we had were supposed to be good in a cream for skin conditions. Hope this helps.
